Levelster is run by Foreman Games, one person in Los Angeles. This page says what the site records and why. It is short because the site records little.

Last changed 27 October 2026.

What a play records

When you press Play, the site writes one session row: which game, when it started and ended, how many seconds the tab was visible, the page you came from, and whether the device was a phone or a desktop. Nothing identifies you in it beyond the cookie below. Developers see these rows for their own games as counts and averages.

Cookies

lv_anon is a random id the site gives your browser for a year. It is not made from anything about your device. It is how your sessions and your level hold together before you have an account, and how the site limits requests from one browser.

If you sign in, the sign-in cookies hold your session. They cannot be read by scripts. lv_in says only that a session exists, so the page can draw the right thing at once. lv_next keeps, for one hour, the page to return you to after an emailed link.

The site sets no advertising or tracking cookie of its own.

Accounts

An account is optional and gates nothing. It stores your email address, or the address of the Google account you used, and the display name you choose. The sign-in email is sent through Resend. Accounts and everything else live in Supabase, a hosted database.

Games

Every game runs in its own frame from its developer's servers, not from this site. What happens inside a game is between you and its developer and is covered by their policy, not this one. The site cannot see inside the frame.

Page counts

Page views are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookie and keeps no record of you as a person.

Ads

Once ads run on the page around a game, Google serves them and may use cookies under Google's advertising policy. Nothing of ours runs inside a game.

Deleting your account

Open Account, press Delete account, and type the word delete. Your library, your level and the link between you and your sessions are removed at once. The sessions themselves stay as anonymous counts, so developers' numbers stay true.
